01 / WHAT IT IS

The system being built

Not a one-click game generator. A studio-shaped system.

LUDOGENESIS is an AI-native game foundry: a system for turning human intent into playable, testable games while improving the production machinery through every run.

One commission can become many specialized internal operations. A versioned contract defines the target. Production systems do the work. Independent evidence—not a builder's confidence—decides what advances and what returns for repair.

02 / PROCESS

How the foundry thinks

A game advances on evidence, not optimism.

This is the target workflow LUDOGENESIS is being built toward. Several layers remain in construction; the diagram is a production contract, not a completion claim.

Target workflow / v0Repair path enabled
  1. 01Human commission

    Intent

A person defines the experience, constraints, and ambition—not every production detail.

  2. 02Structured target

    Contract

The commission becomes a versioned definition of what the game must be and how success will be judged.

  3. 03Specialized work

    Autonomous production

The target system coordinates design, art, engineering, audio, and integration as distinct production work.

  4. 04Independent proof

    Evidence & tests

Builds, captures, tests, and critics evaluate the artifact—not the builder's confidence.

  5. 05Earned state

    Playable candidate

A candidate advances only when the required experience and quality gates have evidence behind them.

  6. 06Bounded return

    Repair & iteration

Failures route back into focused repair, new evidence, and another decision instead of being hidden.

Failed evidence routes backward to bounded repair, then forward to a new test.

03 / CURRENT BUILD

Factory floor

The foundation is real. The factory is not finished.

This ledger is deliberately blunt. Established means supported by current project evidence. Planned means planned. Nothing passes because the page looks cool.

  1. 01

    Program foundation

    Established

Core architecture, terminology, quality gates, and release rules are defined.

  2. 02

    Game contract foundation

    Established

The structured contract layer for turning a commission into production requirements is in place.

  3. 03

    Production state machine

    In active implementation

The durable production-stage system is in active implementation and remains incomplete.

  4. 04

    Evidence-driven production

    Planned

Engine-integrated production, automated playtests, criticism, and bounded repair are planned—not yet publicly demonstrated.

  5. 05

    Public playable build

    Not released

No public playable build has been released.

04 / BUILD IN PUBLIC

Open factory doors

The build is the content.

Successes will show what is possible. Failures will show what the system still cannot do. Both become evidence for the next run instead of disappearing behind launch-day theater.

What enters the public record
  • Agent experiments
  • Architecture decisions
  • Generated world fragments
  • Failed acceptance rounds
  • Repairs and before/after evidence
  • Playable builds when earned

05 / FOUNDER

Human in the loop / visible by design

Building the machinery

Ryan Hoffman

Ryan is the founder and visible building-in-public face of LUDOGENESIS.

He is building the contracts, systems, tests, and feedback loops that turn autonomous production work into accountable playable artifacts. The aim is not to impersonate a giant studio. It is to manufacture repeatable studio machinery—and show the receipts when it works or breaks.
